Been doing a few laps in the Daytona Sports Car and thought I'd update it. One of the things I forgot to do on the original was 'fit' different wheels to it (forgot to activate them in the genstring) ... oops.
Any hoot, while it was in the workshop, I thought I'd give the engine a freshen up - new cam and a computer re-map (438hp @ 6400rpm) - freshen up the chassis a bit and fitted a couple of extra diff-ratios.
While I was at it, I was trying to find a decent sound for a 'LS' based engine, which I found within the GTR2 sound files and this new version now uses the Mosler V8 sounds from GTR2.
--To install the update -- Sell your original Daytona Sports Car (you'll get your $100K back ... woo-hoo!!) then delete the 'DaytonaSportsCar' folder from your GTC-65 folder (or where ever you put it). Download version 2 to a temp location of your choice, un-pack and copy the 'GameData' folder directly into your 'GTL or GT Legends' folder. Mod will install the car into a 'Teams/ExtraCars' folder and will install the 'GTR' sound files into the Sounds folder.
NOTE: I've left a few extra sounds in the 'GTR' sound folder as some of my re-releases will also be using them. Also, as from now, all of my mods will be installed into the 'ExtraCars' folder - will not effect game play or which class the cars can/will race in.
