Overview
The 1988 McLaren MP4/4 mod bring players the iconic car from the 1988 Formula One World Championship. Piloted by Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost, the MP4/4 left it's mark in the history books by winning 15 of the 16 races in that year. Designed by Steve Nichols with assistance from the team's Technical Director Gordon Murray, the MP4/4 sported the Honda RA168-E V6 Turbo engine boasting 650 bhtp. The car would eventually bring Ayrton Senna home to his first Formula One World Championship victory by beating team mate Alain Prost in the season finale at Adelaide.

Very nice mod. For me, this looks and feels much closer to the original car than the VRC version. The VRC one is a very good mod, don't get me wrong, it just looks, to me, more like a CGI model of the car than the actual car. This one looks and feels more natural and is also much easier to drive.

The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the sounds, because they really don't sound like the proper car and also many of them are missing: no turbo whine, no tyre squeals, no external sounds, etc...

For those that want much better sound on this mod (and for them to work in all views,) just install the VRC mod and then use Content Manager to replace the sounds in this mod from that one. You can then remove the VRC mod if you don't want it installed along side this one.

CM also needs to be used to fix the camera position on the bumper view as it is positioned incorrectly putting you under the car/track by default.

For me, combining the two mods like this has given me what I consider the ultimate version of this legendary F1 car.

Decent car but sound is missing for every view except first person, even on the replay there is no sound its a shame really.

Great Formula 1 car! Quite a challenge to master, very interesting. Only problem I saw is the brand, it should be in McLaren with the proper logo, instead it's under a "Mak-corp" with a weird logo, which makes it harder to find. Overall, a great job!
