Racing this "Österreichring 1988 version" for the first time ever was quite interesting:

I have raced the "A1 ring" (as it used to be called. For about the last 10 years to the present I believe it has been called the "Red Bull Ring?") on my PC game, "F1 Challenge '99-'02," many times. Located in Austria, the A1 ring is one my favorite and one of the fastest Formula 1 circuits of them all: There are long straights combined with some sharp slow chicanes and medium and higher speed turns, combined with LOTS of elevation change, making for a varied and very fun and not too difficult course. The alpine scenery enhances the racing experience that much more.

When I downloaded this "Österreichring 1988" Austria course, I was expecting it to be almost the same as the A1 ring I raced in the early 2000s on my PC. I was wrong:
The '88 race circuit is definitely significantly different, and I believe also somewhat lengthier. I do somewhat prefer the '88 Austria circuit to the more modern layouts.

The surrounding countryside and alpine vistas of this mod are very verdant and of a natural and appealing very dark green. However, these off course textures -intentionally or unintentionally- are only of 'average' graphic quality...which, however, does help to keep the framerate high.
Also, the replay angles throughout this track suck: They are all too far away from the vehicles.

Otherwise, this mod is a keeper for me and nicely done.
